This series of workshops is designed  to inspire your new or current Yoga practice.  Deepen your awareness of asana (physical postures) and beyond.  Each workshop will focus on a different aspect of our practice, from a healthy spine &  functional movement,to therapeutics,  meditation, breathing, chakras and more.  Learn how to cultivate a healthy practice and how this serves you on, and off of your mat. Get ready to Live Well!

Part I "Heaven on Earth"
Discover  Universal Principles of Alignment and how they help us to express our Optimal Self . Learn how cultivating  heart qualities in our practice not only improves the health of our physical form, but  inspires us to live most authentically both on and off our mats.  This practice is one that celebrates this gift that is our life, every step of the way.


Part II "Align with Health"
For the active individual, a yoga practitioner, or the absolute beginner, this workshop is designed to introduce the valuable benefits of Yoga to the everyday person.  Register for 1 or both hours to improve your practice, posture, overall health and wellbeing, take your sport to the next level, or learn how to be safe during stretching.

Hour 1
will focus on therapeutic alignment of the body’s major joints to relieve stress of common postural habits.  Be empowered by learning how to safely stretch your individual body, decompress major joints of the upper & lower body, further improve your posture, & prevent and/or improve injury recovery time.

Hour 2 will focus on developing a stronger core to support a healthy posture on & off the mat.  Improving basic posture allows for freedom and length in the spine.  Stability of the core relieves postural stresses & increases the longevity of the spine and other major joints.  Enhance balance, endurance & concentration.  A series of shoulder & neck openers further focuses your mind and de-stress you from holding patterns.

Birthing Baby ~ November Date TBA Cielo
Prepare yourself for a confident birth. You will learn restorative & preventative yoga poses, positioning baby, vocal toning, breathing & meditative techniques to have as your personal tools during pregnancy,labouring, birth, and after care.  Q & A will allow us to share tips, birthing experiences, and much much more.  Partners welcome

- All students must pre register & make payment prior to the session start date. Late registrants & drop-in's will only be taken where space is available...
- All classes running at Lochdale must maintain a minimum registration, and will hold a maximum of 15 participants to ensure you the most personal attention during class.
- Missed classes may be made up at alternate classes before the end of the 8 week session. See pass options on our rates page if you wish to attend more than once a week.
